HUBER Packaging develops the world's cleverest draught beer system:
Enjoying the perfect taste of draught beer is child's play, thanks to the line of 5 litre party kegs that the Business unit Beverage of the HUBER Packaging Group has developed and consistently enhanced. The new HUBER easyKEG IPS (Integrated Pressure System) with integrated freshness cartridge, has once again set new standards in the packaging industry. It is set to become the world’s cleverest system for draught beer equipment, thanks to its innovative technology. This party keg combines everything that is otherwise only found in separate beer tapping equipment. Visitors to the Brau Beviale can come and see for themselves just how innovative the keg is on stand 129, hall 4.
The sophisticated design of the HUBER easyKEG IPS with its integrated freshness cartridge, makes using the party keg effortless. No separate parts need to be fitted, CO2 cartridges bought, or no extra, space-hugging, power consuming equipment is required, just activate the pressure cartridge, turn the tap and enjoy. Due to the new technology, the tap does not have to be cleaned, even if the beer has been consumed over a period of several days. The tap can simply be pushed back and the keg stored standing up, or lying in the fridge. Thanks to the self-contained system, nothing leaks and the keg stays clean.
Activated in one easy step and only when the keg is opened, the integrated CO2 pressure system ensures you can enjoy the fresh taste of draught beer for 30 days after the first glass is filled. In other words, the HUBER easyKEG IPS does not have to (but can) be emptied in one go. If you want to keep some beer for later, it will taste as fresh as the first glass. As a result, the new party keg is always fun to use and the beer excellent, from the first to the last glass. The integrated CO2 cartridge guarantees constant pressure when the beer is drawn, regardless of how full the keg is. The HUBER easyKEG IPS makes even tapping a real joy.
The tried and tested, integrated tap is fitted with a foam regulator and differs only from the familiar HUBER easyKEG IT tap because of its dark grey colour. With its innovative technology, beer from the HUBER easyKEG IPS can be pulled quickly and with no drips. A device, integrated in the stopper to prevent excess pressure, guarantees the system is safe.
The new party keg is non-returnable, easy to recycle and therefore environmentally-friendly. As the HUBER easyKEG IPS works on the same filling and sealing principle as traditional party kegs, existing equipment can be used to fill the innovative keg.
Quality that cannot fail to impress. In detailed trials to test sensory experience, head retention behaviour and handling the HUBER easyKEG IPS, scientists at the Chair for Technology at the Technical University of Munich Brewery came to the conclusion that: "... the sensory assessment over the three weeks is considered good and the tendency of the last series examined in September 2007 shows improvement has been made. Handling was not a problem.”
The new HUBER easyKEG IPS also came top at the international “Cans of the Year 2008” contest and was awarded the “Gold Award” - further confirmation of how good this innovative packaging solution is. Not just the scientific world and international panel of judges, but also the breweries themselves, are impressed with the innovativeness of the HUBER Packaging Group. As a result, the first well-known breweries are already filling their beer into the HUBER easyKEG IPS.
